Benton ALOE BHA SKIN TONER | 5 Point Review

Have you heard of BHA toners? This product is an Aloe BHA in which just by its product name, you’ll think it says too much decency and benefits. BHA or Beta Hydroxy Acid is used by cosmetics brands as anti-acne. Aloe on the other hand is also used as anti-inflammatory, has acne treating components and has healing properties. If you want to know more about BHA; this Aloe BHA skin toner and its effect on the skin, then keep on reading.

Point 1: PRODUCT

BHA has been all over the beauty news from Korean beauty products that have been all over the beauty community right now. BHA or Beta Hydroxy Acid is used by cosmetics brands as an acne treatment. It is also known as “Salicylic Acid”, which promotes acne treatment and also an oil-consuming chemical; in which it is used to medicate acne and also help oily skin from producing too much sebum. It is also said the Hydroxy acids helps the skin with its “anti-aging” factors. In conclusion, BHA is basically an acne treatment product that helps the skin from bacteria and troubles that comes to the skin. This prevents inflammation from the skin and smoothes out the skin.

Point 2: FORMULA

Main Ingredients:
·         ALOE BARBADENSIS LEAF WATER
·         HYALURONIC ACID
·         SNAIL SECRETION FILTRATE
·         SALICYLIC ACID (BHA)
·          ALOE BARBADENSIS LEAF JUICE

Ingredients:
Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Water, Sodium Hyaluronate, Snail Secretion Filtrate, Glycerin, Pentylene Glycol, Zanthoxylum Piperitum Fruit Extract , Pulsatilla Koreana Extract, Usnea Barbata (Lichen) Extract, Polysorbate 20(solubilizing agent),  Salicylic Acid(0.5%),  , Althaea Rosea Root Extract , Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract,  Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Beta-Glucan, Polyglutamic Acid, Aspalathus Linearis Extract, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Psidium Guajava Fruit Extract, Acrylates/ C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Xanthan Gum.

Aloe has been one of the famous ingredients for skincare for the past few years. It works with the skin whether it’s hot or cold climate. Aloe Vera is the clear substance from the inside of the Aloe plant. It has the slimy and jelly consistency; in which where all the nutrients are found.

I have found an article from Draxe.com which states the benefits of Aloe Vera gel which are the following: (Here's the link!)
·         "Aloe vera contains antioxidant vitamins A, C and E — plus vitamin B12folic acid and choline.
·         It contains eight enzymes, including aliiase, alkaline phosphatase, amylase, bradykinase, carboxypeptidase, catalase, cellulase, lipase and peroxidase.
·         Minerals such as calcium, copper, selenium, chromium, manganese, magnesium, potassium, sodium and zinc are present in aloe vera.
·         It provides 12 anthraquinones — or compounds known as laxatives. Among these are aloin and emodin, which act as analgesics, antibacterials and antivirals.
·         Four fatty acids are present, including cholesterol, campesterol, beta-sisosterol and lupeol — all providing anti-inflammatory results.
·         The hormones called auxins and gibberellins are present; they help with healing wounds and have anti-inflammatory properties.
·         Aloe vera provides sugars, such as monosaccharides (glucose and fructose) and polysaccharides."

Point 3: BENEFITS
From Benton Website:
   a) Skin Trouble Care / Moisture Supply / Dead Skin Cell and Blackhead Care Skin Texture Control / Pores Care / Improves Skin Barrier / Prevention on Skin Damage
   b)  Anti-acne :FDA OTC (Salicylic Acid 0.5%)

Claims:
“Aloe BHA Skin Toner is tested under dermatological control. This toner contains Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Water, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, and Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice. BHA (0.5%), Snail secretion Filtrate, Hyaluronic Acid and Beta-Glucan are used with natural preservatives. This slightly acidic toner is designed for daily use. For all skin types.”

Based on the benefits stated above from Draxe website, it really has too many benefits for the skin itself and maybe that is why it is really famous and effective. Aloe Vera has been one of the famous medicine for soothing skin irritations and other skin problems. From these specific reasons you might really be hooked that this skin care will help in the moisturization of the skin.

On the other hand, BHA also has a big role in this skin care. As stated above, BHA is also known as Salicylic Acid in which its treats acne and helps the skin medicated and prevent it from future breakout.

In combining the two major ingredients in this product, it produced a excellent skin care product! With the effect of BHA as an anti-acne treatment and the effect of aloe vera gel as soothing component, when mixed into one, this skincare will truly cleanse the skin from acne and balance of moisture. BHA or anti-acne agent usually dry down the skin and might even provide a little scarring to the face. But as the Aloe Vera gel enters and multi-task as a healing and moisturizing agent, what would you ask for right? The result is a complete and chemical relief reaction.

Point 4: TEXTURE

The Aloe BHA Skin Toner is a colorless/clear liquid with a little bit of slimy/moisture feel to it. When pumped into the skin, it has an “Aloe” to nothing smell, but definitely has an Aloe note to it. As applied to the face, you feel a tacky feeling at first but when patted to the face, the formula gets easily absorbed to the skin and will feel like nothing, though a moisturizing feeling is available. This has a snail essence too maybe that is why it has a slight stickiness to it but not too much.

Point 5: EFFECT

Instructions:
“After washing the face, pump 1-2 times and take appropriate amount and rub evenly spread on your face, and then gently tab to enhance the absorption.”

This kind of reviews has always been longer than usual since there are too much information that should be shared with you all. Many people even just scroll to the bottom just to see the actual results and effect of the product to the skin, but without further words spilled, here’s the wrapping up results for these product:

Here's a real and actual before and after photo!
  1. The toner has a watery consistency and will easily be absorbed to the skin.
  2. Once the product is absorbed to the skin, there are no stinging feeling to it and the face are will feel to be more smooth and softer in touch also will feel hydrated.
  3. Do not expect your face to have a moisturized finish since this dries to nothing, but there will be a clean feeling to the skin.
  4. The toner also smoothed out visible fine lines and enlarged pores, it also helps to brighten up the complexion due to its ability to lighten scarring on the skin.
  5. It has a gentle cleaning and healing feeling if you have break outs on your skin.
  6. The product also prevents breakouts and prevents zits from coming out the skin.
  7. If you have oily, sensitive, and acne prone skin, these will be good for you, and it also helped the skin to decreased formulation of much oil and sebum.
  8. After weeks of trying out the product, it has reduced visible acne and also reduced visible spots.
