During the summertime the weather is hot and humid and the usual problem of people are oily, sweaty and tacky feeling to the skin. Moisturizers are a must to the face and body even with problems of having heavy feeling to the skin due to viscosity of any product applied to the skin. On the other hand during the winter time, the skin problem of people are dry and sensitive skin. Amid the winter time, dry cracked up and arid feeling are one of the problems and moisturizers also helps heal up dry skin.  

The Ryor Almond Nourishing Cream is a moisturizer specifically (written on the box) for dry and sensitive skin. One of the function of this moisturizer is for frost weather hydration for day and night. You might think: "But it's summer time?", yes it is summertime yet you can still use this product due to its light-weight formulation and feel to the skin.

Ryor's take on Dry & Sensitive Skin:

"Today’s relatively hectic lifestyle plus air and environmental pollution are conducive to the fact that up to 70 percent of the female population has dry and sensitive skin. Cosmetic products formulated for the treatment of this type of skin are made of non-irritating, calming substances, usually having a layer of grease on the surface to prevent skin from drying up and keep it well hydrated. -Ryor; Czech Cosmetics with a Touch of Nature"

Yes you read it right, RYOR is a Czech Republic brand that is now expanding internationally. This cream is available in the US and can be bought online at Our Happy Box for $18-.The product itself is enclosed into a high quality opaque plastic jar type container with twist cap.

Point 2: Formula

Here are the ingredients used in this product:

"Aqua, Isohexadecane, Isopropyl Myristate, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Oil, Propylene Glycol, Sorbitan Isostearate, PEG-2 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Ozokerite, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Cera Alba, Glycerin, Magnesium Stearate, Magnesium Sulfate, Dimethicone, PEG-40 Sorbitan Peroleate, Diazolidinyl Urea, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Parfum, Limonene, Benzyl Salicylate, Linalool, BHT"

The main ingredient for this moisturizer is the "Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Oil" which is based on research is the oil produced and extracted from sweet almond seeds. This particular cream has a perfumey smell in which it smells like men's perfume and moisturizer in a way that it is not too strong of a scent.

Based on an article from Draxe.com, it is said that the following are benefits of Almond oil for the skin:

• "One of the most well-known benefits of almond oil is its ability to keep your skin and hair looking great! As a mild, hypoallergenic oil, it’s safe for sensitive skin, including baby skin.

• Probably due in large part to its antioxidative properties, sweet almond oil is known for protecting skin against UV radiation damage and keeping skin soft and supple.

• Almond oil has a light texture and easily absorbs into skin. It can be used to gently dislodge debris from deep within skin pores and follicles, and also may help prevent future acne because of its vitamin A content. 

• The dark circles under your eyes don’t stand a chance! When you apply a few warm drops beneath your bottom eyelid before bed, you can expect to see brighter, less puffy eyes. Applied all over the face, almond oil can also delay general signs of aging as it renews the cells of your facial skin.

Point 3: Texture

This moisturizer is not too watery and not too thick either. It has the perfect whip and consistency that in application to the face or other parts of the body, the skin can still breath and not feel like you've applied too much. It is not like any other moisturizer in which has oily feel, this particular moisturizer has a hydrating feel and feels like your skin drank/ was splashed with water. 

The other main ingredient of this moisturizer is Agua, which is water, and that goes to say that this moisturizer is water based and will really do hydrate the skin. With its light weight feeling into the skin, you won't even notice that you are wearing a moisturizer, it will feel as though you have a cooler, moisturized and have a healthy balance of water to the skin without any tackiness and stickiness to the skin. 

Point 4: Benefits

The main benefit of this moisturizer is "hydration" to dry skin. It is said that this is best used during the colder or the winter time because as we all know, during the winter time the skin dries up due to cold weather. 

If your skin usually feels tight and as if it cracks up when moving your facial muscles, then you really have one hell of a dry skin. Dry skin usually goes from just tightening feeling to a fine lines and will develop to wrinkles. 

In order to increase water content to the skin, usually moisturizers are used to get a splash of hydration to the skin. The Ryor Almond nourish adds in sebum or what we call the oils that helps nourish skin. But this particular moisturizer does not add "too much" sebum in which the skin becomes oily. The products more or less does the job of moisture balancing the skin in which from a super dry skin, the skin will feel softer and will have a hydrated feeling without making it oily or too much sebum production. 

Point 5: Effect

A before and after photo will be shared here. This result is from using the product everyday for 2 weeks. (Please be advised that there are also other products used to the skin simultaneously during the usage of the product but the Ryor Cream mainly used).

As shown at the before photo, it may not be that visible but there patches of dry skin on the jaw, side of the mouth and cheek area which has always been a hard to remove no matter what moisturizer is used. As to usage of hair removal cream, it has also dried out the mustache area and the sides of the nose which builds up a lot of dry skin. There's merely an oil buildup in any part of the cheek area due to dehydrated skin.

After using the product everyday for two (2) weeks you can notice that the skin is hydrated and has a softer look to it. You can also notice that on the before photo, enlarged pores are also a problem in which with the nourishing cream it slightly tightened it up and also fine lines were gone. You won't notice or see it on the photo but the results was that the skin is softer to touch and no more dry patches are visible. It also helped diminish some of the stubborn small bumps and small pimples and build up acne to the skin.
